Colts lose at Jets in OT as Tom Brady scores 24-yard touchdown
The Indianapolis Colts are 0-5 after losing to the New York Jets in overtime Sunday.
Tom Brady’s 28-yard TD pass to Jeremy Kerley with 1:05 remaining put the Colts up 17-7 with 8:42 remaining in the game.
The Colts defense was solid, though, stopping New York’s eight first downs and allowing only one score.
Tom Brady scored 24-yards on the game-winning drive, and the game was decided with 2:51 remaining in overtime.
After the game, Tom Brady said he felt good.
I feel good right now, he said.
I’m just trying to stay healthy.
The Patriots went on to win the game 34-17.
Jermaine Kearse was injured during the second half, but he returned for the final few minutes and led the Colts with 13 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Injury update: Colts have signed WR Jermaine Keares to a 1-year contract.
Kearse is out for the season with a broken ankle.
He is expected to be ready for training camp.
Redskins: Redskins sign RB Trent Williams to two-year deal article The Washington Redskins have signed RB Trent Taylor to a two-day contract, a source confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Taylor, who is recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL, will begin the season on injured reserve.
The Redskins also released RB Marcus Murphy.
Taylor was expected to make his season debut Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Washington had just two carries for 13 yards.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins, who was benched last week in favor of rookie Kirk Cousins III, is expected back for the team’s season opener.
