How to fix a wilson washing machine
The wilson brand has released a statement about a potential recall after a worker in its Birmingham office found a worker had fallen into the machine.
A worker was found in the machine with a fall of up to 15cm and a small amount of ice in his mouth.
The statement from wilson said the worker had been in the factory for less than an hour and was not aware of any potential problem and was treated quickly by the factory management.
Wilsons spokeswoman Ann Marie Mackey said the company was aware of the incident and was working with the employee to resolve it.
She said it was the company’s intention to contact all employees affected by the recall.
“We are aware of a potential problem at our Birmingham manufacturing site and will be providing the appropriate support to ensure that all affected employees are supported,” Ms Mackey added.
Wilson said it had been contacted by a third party that has been working closely with the factory, and had been informed of the potential problem.
It said it would take “appropriate action” if it became aware that an employee had fallen in the washing machine, but that it did not expect the employee’s safety to be compromised.
Earlier this week, it said the employee had been suspended, with no explanation given.
